Uncertainty

Midnite hour of uncertainty,
a cup of coffee,
silence,
pending work,
numb mind,
restlessness,
soul searching,
moving from one book to other,
insomnia,
desire for a long, undisturbed sleep,
laughter, tears, love
closed doors,
caged feelings,
protection or vulnerability?

questions on life, love, career,
wanderlust,
chocolate fantasy,
lack of trust,
faith intact,
risks,
manifestations of fear,
calm of a beach,
music played in distance
meets the serious gravity of this silence,
lack of desires meet
the hopeful dreams

smiling on a sunny day,
in awe of that red mark,
I smile, rendering the disbelief aside,
natural and pure,
I wait...
to fill that hue in your life and mine
the shade of love..
the colour of passion..

the dream keeps me going,
one day..it will come true
I would have already found you!

The Awaited Return

Its been 4 years since I last saw you,
pretty in pink I saw you smile,
waving me a half hearted good-bye
my jeep moved on, cutting the grass in two
like our hearts spaced out in me and you

What I had left behind was a rosy past
Dreamy days and rosy nights,
your lips moving in conversations
my eyes fixed on your hopeful eyes,
you dreamed of having my babies
and I dreamed of touching your soft belly,
So many nights had passed into
writing poetry and lyrical songs of love to you
until  a letter arrived and I had to leave far from you..

The cold nights here behold in them
the smoke of fire and pain of bullets,
the misty darkness makes my heart sore
as I sleep one more time without you in sight
I know you stay awake and pamper fright..

The sun shone with the noise of tankers in sight,
today we'll have to give them a tough fight,
Its not just the war but our destiny that I have to fight,
I long to see you smile in the last pretty pink
There is blood here, there is pain here
Lost lives, lost friends
But I dream of seeing you wait for me
and hold my toughest breath alive.

Its been a bright dawn,

Friendship

I was at Bandstand with a dear friend of mine and the time I spent with her just brought in a motley of thoughts in my mind about this beautiful relationship called "Friendship"..


"What is it that brings two people together on a journey called "Life"?
What is it that draws them to each other's souls?
There must be some connection or call it a "frequency match"!

What is it that binds us and intertwines our hearts together?
What is it that binds us for life? I think I know what its is!

We bond over the vague but our own dreams, over the life's greatest questions,
over the matters of men, matters of heart, matters of failed and blossoming relationships,
over the passing phases of changing relationships, over the intensity of our love ,our passion,our aspirations
and over the lessons we learnt in life, over the incidences that moulded us into "us"!


We bond over the same philosophies of life though we live it different ways..
We bond over the same lyrics or say the same two lines in the lyrics of a song!
We bond over the same vibes about the other person..
We bond over our mutual love for chocolate fantasy!

We bond over living life's moments, over the smallest of joys that bring us the biggest happiness,
over the tears that made us stronger and the smiles that made us blush
 over laughing off those seemingly important riots of the past,
over the gravity of the present and
over the dreams of tomorrow..

We bond over time..we bond over ETERNITY!
